| I have been involved with Amatsu since July 1999;
originally as a patient with a back injury. I was so impressed with
the results (after trying many other techniques) I decided to become
a practitioner.
My original tutor in Amatsu was Stephen Bates. I qualified as a
Practitioner in 2002.
I then trained with Dennis Bartram and completed the optional post
graduate third year of study in 2004 (Shinden Jutsu) followed by
the fourth level (Kenku 1 and 2) in 2008 and 2009.
My journey with Amatsu continues to fascinate and enthral me. I
was fortunate to be asked to train as a teacher with Sandy Denyer
of Amatsu Training Ltd in 2007. In 2009 I qualified as a Teacher
and I shall be teaching at the Amatsu Academy when it opens for
a new batch of students in January 2010.
All practitioners are obliged to complete four days of continuing
professional development every year, in 2008/09 I completed 40 days
in addition to my teacher training duties. These days included five
Bio Dynamic Synchronisation courses.
As one of the Directors of the Amatsu Therapy Association Ltd,
I have an active role within the Executive Committee as Membership
secretary.
I have a busy clinic, treating clients from all walks of life and
of all ages. My youngest client was under two weeks old at his first
balance and my eldest client celebrated her 103rd birthday in 2006.
I regularly visit clients in their own homes and in sheltered accommodation.
I am actively involved in the rehabilitation of stroke survivors
and I treat clients with post operative conditions, sports injuries,
pre and post natal women, children, babies, walkers, runners, sedentary
and less able persons with a wide range of ailments.
